/about me

I have been a proud resident of the Colorado Rockies for my entire life and never want to leave!  As a lifelong resident, I can truly say that I have a deep appreciation for the nature and outdoors our great state of Colorado has to offer, and my healthy lifestyle and initiative has been inspired by that exposure.

At the end of the day, I strongly feel that my job is to be informed on every angle of any issue, in order to share my knowledge with the wonderful people of my state.  I can honestly say that I feel as though I am doing all that I can when I  vote based on knowledge that I've accumulated throughout years of Congressional exposure.  If my decision counters the opinions of the people, it will always be my job, first and foremost, to explain how the potential policy would benefit the citizens of my state.

As a leader, I am able to envision an older America as a dominantly unhealthy population, and this issue keeps me lying awake at night.  If I can bring great beneficial change to our country while in office, my term has served its purpose, and I have fulfilled my duty to the American people.

I received by Bachelor's Degree from Dartmouth.  I then ventured back towards home, stopping in New Jersey to finish a graduate study at Princeton University, where I worked with Noble Prize winners to accomplish cutting edge research on childhood nutrition and the effects of physical education on the human brain.  After receiving my graduate degree, I was confident that the knowledge I learned at Princeton, and my time spent in the great outdoors, would be able to benefit the American people, and perhaps more importantly, the people of Colorado.
